Time for Everything
The famous quote from Ecclesiastes; 'There is a time for everything' marries nicely up with the Gospel Nativity and Second Coming themes. Appropriately it has a big build up and ends on a high note! I used to be able to get those high notes...
Time for Everything
There is a time for everything,
A time to sow and a time for the harvesting,
A time to regret, and a time to sing
The blues away

For God has set eternity
In the heart and soul of humanity,
But trapped in time we cannot see His perfect ways.

A time to live and a time to die,
A time to need and a time to be satisfied,
A time to rejoice and a time to sigh
For yesterday.

For God has set eternity
In the heart and soul of humanity,
But trapped in time we cannot see His perfect ways

And God's great plan is now begun
To redeem the world by
Sending His only Son
To live and die, the sinless one
To conquer death, and set man free.

And all creation waits in awe,
as the babe is born in a stable and laid in straw...
Promise of life for evermore
This miracle; this Nativity.

There is a time for everything,
A time to sow and a time for the harvesting,
A time to regret, and a time to sing
The blues away

For God has set eternity
In the heart and soul of humanity,
But trapped in time we cannot see His perfect ways.

But when we see the Father's will
Fully realised, then time will be standing still,
And in that hope of life eternal
We lift our hearts with songs of praise.

And we will sing and worship till
Christ shall come again-his life and his death fulfilled;
Parting the clouds of heaven to reveal
The dawn of a day that never fades.
